SPORTS AND FITNESS
KEEPING IN SHAPE WHILE HAVING FUN
The Blue Haven Bay Resort offers an abundance of options to keep active and stay in shape. There are unsurprisingly numerous options on the water, but also on land, by the beach, and indoors.

SEA KAYAKING, STAND-UP PADDLE

The gentle beaches and pristine waters around Blue Haven Bay are extremely inviting to combine fun with fitness, without taking unreasonable risks, since there are no water currents in the bay to speak of.
Sea kayaks for 1, 2 or 3 persons and stand-up paddles are available for rent.
LARGE SWIMMING POOLS
Residents and guests at Blue Haven Bay Resort and Estate can enjoy the use of two state-of-the-art infinity-edge swimming pools. The pools utilise the latest technology to provide clean, fresh water ideal for a dip to cool off or for swimming laps. Unlike chlorine technology, salt technology used at Blue Haven Bay is friendly to the skin and does not irritate the eyes.
LAGOONA SECTION PUBLIC POOL

The pool at the Beach Club in the Lagoona section is 40-metres long, perfect both for serious lap swimming and for relaxing on the in-water benches.
The pool area has ample loungers for those wishing to soak up the sun or enjoy a drink from the poolside bar. The pool area also has easy access to the sea for those wanting a saltwater dip.
MARINA SECTION PUBLIC POOL

A second large infinity pool with sunbeds is located in the Marina section. This pool offers a stunning view of the bay as well as a wet bar, operated by the Shambhala Beach Bar, for enjoying cocktails as you gaze out over the ocean.

SNORKELING AND SCUBA DIVING IN CRYSTAL CLEAR WATERS

A coral reef runs along the northwest coast of the peninsula on which Blue Haven Bay is located. The coral reef is inviting for snorkeling with colourful fish and corals just offshore from the large pier at Blue Haven Bay.
The Koh Chang archipelago comprises more than 50 islands and along with many smaller sea-rocks it offers a wide variety of reefs for snorkelers and scuba divers. There are even a number of underwater wrecks to explore.
Among many other species, whale sharks (harmless to humans), which are the largest fish in the world, are often spotted in the archipelago. Diving alongside whale sharks is one of the most exhilarating experiences for divers.
FISHING
Both the Klong Son river running along Blue Haven Bay and the surrounding sea are full of mostly edible fish. Furthermore, crabs and shrimps are abundant in the shallow parts of the bay. Locals can be seen every evening fishing off the piers and by the riverside.
The local fishing boats of the Klong Son fishing village go out to sea every day to catch cuttle fish, and are happy to take visitors along on their fishing expeditions. It is an experience not to be missed.
If you are interested in catching your own dinner, please check with our staff regarding the regulations and restrictions, and they will be happy to put you in touch with the fishermen.

PRIVATE PIER – CORAL REEF

Blue Haven Bay in Koh Chang has its own private boat pier. The pier allows for easy access to boats for both recreational purposes and private speedboat transfer to the mainland.
Yet the pier also offers easy swimming access to the coral reef that runs along the northwest coast of the peninsula. Here snorkelers can enjoy exploring the colourful coral reef just beyond the beach.
OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES

For runners and joggers, Blue Haven Bay offers a variety of terrain including the beach, paved roads or, for the more adventurous, runs in the adjoining national park. Those that prefer a gentler pace can enjoy some stunning nature walks in the protected forest adjacent to the development.
The huge resort area is inviting for endless outdoor activities such as biking on the roads, offroad (BMX) biking, frisbee, minigolf, boccia/pétanque; the range of activities is limited only to your imagination.

FITNESS

At Blue Haven Bay, two professionally equipped fitness centers are availabe for guests and residents to stay in shape in air conditioned comfort.
